Esonide contains Budesonide 2 mg /ml (100 μg/dose) and is a metered dose nasal spray.  It is used in:

–the treatment of seasonal or chronic allergic rhinitis in adults and children (≥6 years old) and chronic non allergic rhinitis in adults.

– the treatment of nasal obstruction related to nasal polyps in adults.

Dosage Regimen

  

Seasonal or chronic allergic rhinitis

Adults, elderly and children over 6 years of age

200µg (2 sprays) into each nostril in the morning or

100µg (1 spray) into each nostril twice daily

  

Chronic  non-allergic rhinitis

  

Nasal obstruction to nasal polyps

  

200µg (2 sprays) twice daily for a period of up to 3 months
