In the journal, ‘The Annals of Family Medicine’, a highly significant publication was published on “Home Monitoring of Asthma Exacerbations in Children and Adults With Use of an AI-Aided Stethoscope”, co-authored by scientists from Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, the Chair of Acoustics of the Faculty of Physics: Anna Pastusiak, MA, Prof. Jędrzej Kociński and Honorata Hafke-Dys, PhD
The innovative research presented in this essay focuses on the detection of asthma among children under the age of five, for whom adequate procedures for the diagnosis and monitoring of this pathology in this specific age group have not yet been established. The result of this research is a world-breaking technology, providing not only new perspectives and solutions to the problem of asthma in the youngest patients but also significantly improving the process of diagnosis and monitoring of this disease in their older colleagues.
