Zuccheri worked with artists such as Fulvio Bianconi to create unique and modern glass pieces, using advanced techniques such as acid etching, sandblasting and etching. He worked for companies such as Venini, Barovier & Toso, preferring to work as an independent designer. He has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the prestigious Compasso d’Oro in 1955. He remains an important figure in the history of Italian design, known for his technical innovations and his creativity in the design of glass objects. The first artistic production is in the Sixties with animals, in 1965, he started a collaboration with Giò Ponti, with a glazing system, With naturalistic inspiration, are series “Logs” and “Water lilies”, where there are appearances of tree bark and fleshiness of aquatic plnts. His works are in the most important museums: Murano, MOMA, Guggenheim, Okkaido Museum, Metropolitan Museum in Tokyo.

The table lamp from the Membrane series for Venini is wonderful with a chromed metal base and a Murano glass bowl-shaped lampshade, worked with a particular technique that gives life to intense membrane-like inclusions. The internal membrane is made of instant glass while the outside is made of crystalline glass. The technique and the combination of the two colors gives life to wonderful plays of light. The series of Membranes was presented at the Venice Biennale in 1972.
