About the Video
This video is aimed at the non-Rheumatologist and aims to make the point that early referral does make a difference in the quality of life and outcomes for the patient, that treatment is available and that we should aim at achieving remission. Dr Frendo discusses the prevalence of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal disease and emphasises the importance of the history and clinical examination in making a diagnosis as well as the use of appropriate investigations when necessary. She stresses that judicious use of investigations is paramount and that the result of any test should be interpreted in the right clinical context. The role of the family doctor as part of the multidisciplinary team is also emphasised during this video.
