Ottorino Cingolani, fine sense for colours

Cingolani, born in 1901, is naturalistic and in the tradition, with a sweet and contemplative side, with right colours, delicate without too much sweetness. He painted landscapes, nudes, insides, and peripheric houses in quiet moments, immersed in a tradition physically alive and present. Restrained attitudes, dry forms, not without poetic clam. Simple language, sometimes dry and sometimes flourished depending on what gave him emotion, creating lightness to what he painted. Lombardy’s tradition lives in Cingolani’s painting, in his landscapes and cities’ views, in his figures, with fine sense for colours, with freshness in notes, with frank humour. The artist brings a profound sensibility approaching the nature, some constructive rigor, a really developed chromatic sense. Cingolani’s painting is testimony of love for the things surrounding mainly for the umile ones expressing a sense of solidarity against oppressions.
