Dr Tamara Griffiths received her dermatology training at the University of Michigan, USA and the University of Manchester, UK. An American Board-Certified dermatologist and on the UK Specialist Register, she is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the British Association of Dermatologists.

She is a senior Consultant at one of the largest UK Dermatology Centres at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, where she manages paediatric and adult patients with acute and chronic conditions involving the skin, hair and nails.

In 2015, she was appointed Chair of the Royal College of Physicians’ Dermatology Specialist Advisory Committee leading Dermatology training across the UK, after completing her role as Training Programme Director for the North Western Deanery.
Dr Griffiths is Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester where she founded and is Medical Programme Director for the MSc in Skin Ageing & Aesthetic Medicine.
She is Principal Investigator for clinical trials involving: nonsurgical cosmetic interventions & skin ageing & repair. She recognised internationally for expertise in this field.
She is founding member and past-President of the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group and has represented the UK in Europe to develop consistent and high standards of care in an unregulated aesthetic arena .
She was key advisor to the Review of Cosmetic Interventions lead by Sir Bruce Keogh (2013) and is founding member and Trustee of the Cosmetic Practice Standards Authority (CPSA). As spokesperson and Trustee of the British Skin Foundation for nearly two decades, she has regular appearances in broadcast and print media.

In 2018 she was recognised as a senior member of the award-winning BMJ Dermatology Team of the Year, and in 2021 won the British Association of Dermatologist’s Clinician of the Year award.
